SATURDAY evening I was in my hometown (Michalovce), resting on a couch and browsed TV channels. Since the local city TV is a part of every single cable TV package it is almost impossible to avoid. Although expecting nothing I still was amazed. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what did they broadcast.
Why on earth do they broadcast a windows desktop (version 98 in february 2011!!!) with some music in Winamp. Is this really what my (and many of yours) local taxes are for? Even if they had repeated the municipality meeting for 38th time it would still have been better than Windows desktop. Not speaking of an open advertisement. I am sure that Bill Gates is not paying the local TV in Michalovce for ads. Maybe that’s because Microsoft does not sell the 98 version anymore.
