Independence Day in the Independence City

ENGLISHMAN in New York is not the best, however, close enough to describe impressions of a european on the Fourth of July.  Fascinated by number of people who got in the streets just to sit for a while, chill down, enjoy the sunny atmosphere. Philadelphia, the city of Independence, has much to offer any time, that is for sure. But when a concert of Sheryl Crow and The Roots is just an appetizer, the taste of fireworks are far beyond your imagination.

Nothing is perfect, though. The light of the fireworks took away a life from the streets. Literally, people were running back home. And that seems sort of fake to me. I had the opportunity to spend the Independence Day of Lithuania in the streets of Vilnius. Despite the -20°C people were much more passionate, dancing, celebrating the whole night. One could read the joy and happiness in their eyes.

However, Philly was definitely a piece to enjoy.
